Bank crypto guide
Buy Crypto with a Chime Card, Wire or ACH
Chime is one of America's largest fintechs, and its crypto reality is refreshingly simple: the Visa debit card works at licensed platforms, there's no credit card to worry about, and the two real constraints are Chime's lower daily card limits and its lack of outgoing wires. Chime members at Anytime Capital buy everyday amounts with the debit card or Apple Pay; for bigger orders, ACH or a branch cash visit covers what the card limit won't.

Does Chime allow crypto purchases?
Yes. Chime debit cards and ACH transfers all work for buying crypto at Anytime Capital, a licensed US money services business. Chime issues no credit card of its own, but any major credit card you hold is accepted here, as are Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Credit cards are accepted here that other crypto platforms turn away.
This institution does not issue a credit card of its own — but any major credit card you hold is accepted here. Anytime Capital accepts all major credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover — from every bank and credit union we cover.
The honest caveat: Acceptance is our decision as the merchant; authorization of any individual transaction is Chime's, and your cardholder agreement controls. Chime offers no traditional credit card — its Credit Builder card is a secured Visa that spends money you've already moved onto it, so it behaves like debit at crypto merchants where it's accepted. The credit-card crypto question doesn't really exist at Chime.

At other crypto platforms
Issues no credit card of its ownChime offers no traditional credit card — its Credit Builder card is a secured Visa that spends money you've already moved onto it, so it behaves like debit at crypto merchants where it's accepted. The credit-card crypto question doesn't really exist at Chime.
Worth knowing: Two Chime specifics matter for crypto buyers: Chime does not send outgoing wires at all, and its daily card spend limits are lower than traditional banks — so card and ACH are the rails, and large single purchases need a different funding bank.
Buying crypto with a Chime wire transfer
Wire transfers are accepted at Anytime Capital for crypto — Chime itself doesn't send them, so Chime customers use the debit card or ACH.
Chime does not send outgoing wire transfers at all. Chime customers fund larger crypto purchases by ACH, by branch cash, or by wiring from a secondary bank account.
The working rails from Chime are the ones it does run: the debit card clears instantly at checkout, and ACH links the account directly. If you also keep a traditional bank account, its wires work here for larger OTC orders — no card ceiling, cleared dollars, and a price our desk quotes before you send.
Selling crypto and getting paid to your Chime account
Anytime Capital buys crypto back and sends the dollars to your Chime account by ACH — wire payouts go to any traditional bank account you verify.
Selling runs the same process in reverse: lock a price with the desk, send the crypto from your wallet, and we pay out in US dollars. Since Chime handles ACH but not bank wires, the payout to Chime rides ACH and typically lands in 1–3 business days; customers who want a same-day wire payout point it at a traditional bank account instead. Larger sells are handled by our OTC desk with a quoted price rather than a moving market rate.
You can sell BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, XRP, USDT, USDC and 20+ other assets directly, or bring cash out in person at our Atlanta and Miami branches. Payout account names must match your verified identity — a rule that protects you as much as it satisfies our compliance obligations.

Chime crypto questions, answered
Can I buy crypto with my Chime debit card?
Yes — the Chime Visa debit card works at Anytime Capital and other licensed platforms. Mind Chime's daily card spending limit (lower than traditional banks); larger purchases run better over ACH or in person.
Does Chime support wire transfers for big purchases?
No — Chime doesn't send outgoing wires at all. For OTC-size orders, Chime members use ACH, cash at one of our branches, or a wire from a secondary bank account.
Does the Chime Credit Builder card work for crypto?
Where Visa is accepted, it behaves like a debit card — it spends money you've already loaded, with no cash-advance mechanics. Acceptance for quasi-cash merchants varies; the standard Chime debit card is the more reliable option.
Why was my Chime card declined for a crypto purchase?
Usually the daily spend limit or a first-time merchant check rather than a crypto policy — Chime doesn't block licensed crypto merchants. Check the limit in the app, approve any verification, and retry with a smaller amount if needed.
What's the best crypto route for a Chime member?
Everyday amounts: Chime debit or Apple Pay at Anytime Capital, minutes end to end. Larger amounts: ACH, or cash in person at our branches — the classic pairing for card-limit fintechs.
